Solo Spirit: Maps

These maps give you more information about Solo Spirit's current position and surrounding conditions. They can help you put the Solo Spirit's science data into a larger context.

If you would like to plot the Solo Spirit track on your own map, click here to download a file containing the complete path of Solo Spirit. This file is updated whenever a position is received at Mission Control. It includes UTC time, balloon time, latitude, longitude, altitude, ground speed, heading, distance traveled, and elapsed time.

	Topography This topography map is a shaded relief map with color coded elevations. In addition to showing land areas, it also contains elevations for the sea floor.
	Infrared This infrared cloud map is a composite of GOES, Meteosat, and GMS weather satellite images. Warm areas appear dark and cool areas, such as clouds, appear light.
	Infrared With Topography This map combines the infrared satellite data with the topography image.
	Water Vapor This water vapor map is a composite of GOES, Meteosat, and GMS weather satellite images. Bright areas indicate higher amounts of water vapor.
	Sun Position This map shows the outlines of countries, continent boundaries, and the area of the Earth currently in daylight.
